We offer a wide range of perinatal classes, workshops, courses and treatments designed to support your needs and help you feel connected, empowered and cared for throughout every stage of this transformative time.
Meet other like-minded mums-to-be over complimentary tea and homemade biscuits after a Pregnancy Yoga class or stay for lunch in our café with your baby and other new mothers after Postnatal Yoga or Pilates,
PRENATAL YOGA AND PILATES
It's recommended to avoid practising yoga or Pilates during the first trimester of pregnancy (the first 14 weeks). After this time, both practices can be very beneficial for pregnancy, birth and beyond. We offer dedicated Pregnancy Yoga classes – no prior experience is necessary. Our Pilates Equipment Studio sessions are also ideal for both prenatal and postnatal support. Maika Klaukien specialises in Perinatal Mat Pilates so look out for her regular Mat Pilates classes too. Please make sure to tell your teacher you’re pregnant before the start of the class.
If you’re a more experienced yoga or Mat Pilates student, you can continue your practice in our regular classes after your first trimester provided you have received approval from your medical practitioner. Participation is also at the discretion of your teacher so it’s imperative that you speak to them before the beginning of the class.
At this time we’re unfortunately unable to accommodate pregnant students in our Reformer Pilates classes but we’re excited to be launching dedicated prenatal Reformer Pilates sessions soon.
PRENATAL WORKSHOPS
We regularly offer ActiveBirth / Hypnobirthing workshops to prepare you and your birth partner for birth.
POSTNATAL YOGA AND PILATES
All forms of Pilates (Reformer, Equipment Studio and Mat) are great for Postnatal support. We also offer a dedicated Postnatal Yoga class where you can practise yoga alongside your baby. Please let your teacher know you have recently given birth.
