HOME is located in an amazing new building at the site of the original triyoga in Primrose Hill.
THE FEELING
”Throughout the space our intention was to create connections and comfort
through touch, feel, fragrance and light, using elemental natural materials. These materials wrap
together with objects resonant with meaning and memory to create the spiritual texture of
HOME”.
– James Lynch, Building Designer
Raw sawn oak boarding and vertical planting
in the courtyard, extensive use of reclaimed materials – rich dark wood flooring, reclaimed and
restored fittings, and custom built furnishings – along with low and feature lighting, all combine
to create a feeling of warmth and relaxation.
Our welcome area is arranged as a space
where greeting, reception, lounge and kitchen flow together to evoke a sense of coming home. Circulation
and changing areas are lined with Welsh-grown cedar and beeswax-polished lime plaster.
THE STUDIOS
The studios are uncluttered, light-filled spaces with a neutral palette designed to
aid focus on practice: flooring is a pale texture marmoleum (a completely natural material made
from flax seed oil, wood flour, pine rosins, jute, limestone and pigments); and wall linings and
storage are pale plywood.
